A New Page For Vets is an organization which provides transitional housing to veterans who are exiting homelessness. The various members of the USARMY, USAF, US Navy, US Coast Guard, US Marines and Space Force are provided with an affordable rent in an effort to provide the opportunity to "gather themselves" in preparation for self sustainability once they are able to secure permanent housing. A New Page For Vets works in conjunction with partner agencies to ensure that the needs of the service member are identified and the person is linked to the requested or identified service(s). The founder of the organization, has an extensive career within the human services field, has a very strong work ethic and is passionate about the population served. She has an extensive career in the human services field, a strong work ethic and is passionate about the veteran population. Having earned both a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Social Work Degree, she uses her education to advocate for the veterans and others exiting a state of homelessness.
Our guiding principle is to become a community-based organization which practices fair treatment of our consumers. Our staff, ensures consumers inclusivity in decision-making, maintaining honesty, confidentiality, openness and accountability.
A New Page For Vets provides housing for veterans exiting homelessness with a goal of sustainable housing within the Mecklenburg County and surrounding area. The veterans are screened, supported and encouraged to engage in the process for long term success and home sustainability.
About the Home
We are nestled in east Charlotte, North Carolina, in the Shannon Park Community within a 10 minute walk from a Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Bus Stop. The spacious home offers four furnished bedrooms, a large eat in kitchen, and a sun room. Our home provides major appliances with an onsite washer and dryer, full sized refrigerator and oven/stove. The home has an eat in dining area, ample storage and wifi.
